Executive Chef Drew Tait

Executive Chef Drew Tait is responsible for overseeing the daily food operations of the entire resort including Marker 92 Waterfront Bar & Bistro and The Nauti Mermaid Dockside Bar & Grill.
Chef Tait moved to Cape Coral from New Jersey with his family over 22 years ago. His career started at a small mom and pop restaurant where he worked as a dishwasher until he was promoted to a cook. Soon after getting his first taste of working in a kitchen, he joined the culinary program at High Tech North under Chef Jack Elias where he learned a base of knowledge that has lead him to jobs all over Southwest Florida since then. Prior to joining the culinary team of the Resort at MarinaVillage, Chef Tait was Sous Chef at the Isles Yacht Club in Punta Gorda, Florida. He has also worked as the Executive Chef of the Turtle Club Restaurant in Punta Gorda, Florida and the Executive Sous Chef at Heritage Palms Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida.
“I am more of a natural chef; I like to let the ingredients speak for themselves with just some added touches to move the guest’s pallet to where I think they will have the best experience. I have two great loves in my life, my wife and my cooking. There is nothing more satisfying then putting in all of this effort into a dish and for the guest to taste it and melt into their chair and I’m waiting with such anticipation for the MMMMM to come from their mouth”, says Chef Tait.
